Loading Bays

Loading Bays and unloading bays and unloading equipment is a very important point in any econmic sector. For this reason, Inkema develops increasingly innovative solutions to fully eqip the loading bays with maximum safety and speed for the vehicles, but also achieves remarkable expense savings.

Inkema also supplies different constructive systems. After conducting a previous study, Inkema offer the best solutions for each type of construction, installation and loading bays. They have a wide range of loading solutions to cater for diverse needs.

Hinged Lip Dock Leveller

Suitable for installation in any loading bay

Variety of truck heights and loading bays make dock levellers inevitable. These are the most practical and safest way to perform the loading and unloading process.

Inkema manufacture two types of dock levellers with hinged lip:

RH11: Embedded Pit type
Dock leveller for those who want to start with a pit and a sub-frame.

RH12: Self-hanging type
Dock leveller for those who prefer to install the leveller in a pit without a sub-frame

RH13: Box Model without letter box
Dock leveller for those who do not want a pit

RH14: Dock leveller with a specific height
Specially designed for the transport. THe space inside the trusts is optimised, thus reducing the cost of transportation.

Retractable Lip Dock Levellers

Safety and strength: Profitability assured.

Dock Levellers with telescopic lip allow you to adapt to all loading and unloading situations. Thanks to the lip’s retractable movement, the struct does not have to be centred in the dock. With these dock models you have longer platforms with a place in shorter loading bays.

They allow larger height differences between loading bays and truck platforms, as well as the distance between them.

The Inkema construction system concept is easy to explain, these systems are designed for satisfy anyones needs:

RH21/31: Embedded Pit type

Special Dock Levellers
Inkema conduct research and create new products of the highest quality, to satisfy the needs of an increasingly demanding market. They design and manfacture special dock levellers of all types, wuch as the 12-metre long dock leveller, the Dual SR leveller consisting of a combination of lifting table and hydraulic ramp, and many more specific for each customer.

The Inkema loading bridges can be installed without the need for a pit as they are designed to be placed at the end of a loading bay. They are used to speed up the loading and unloading of a medium and small sized goods.

Depending on the model, they can be attached to the bay or moved laterally, thereby optimizing the use of each unit. Inkema also supply portable loading bridges that are easy to handle and appropriate for light loads.

Free Standing Steel Frame

Increasing the building’s storage capacity.

Free standing frames and tunnels are designed specifically for each customer, to speed up the installation of a loading bay, improve the interal insulation of the warehouse and increase the storage capacity of the building.

The Free-standing frames improve working conditions and goods handling thanks to their high level of seal and hygiene. It is supplied in different versions:

  • without walkway
  • with one walkway
  • and with two walkways

The tunnel system couples the building to the vehicle – tunnels can be isothermal or normal.

Dock Houses
Dock Houses and free-standing frame systems couple the building of the vehcile. The standard dock house roof is formed by a special anti-drip ribbed panel with a slipe that prevents the accumulation of water and allowing rainwater to be drained into the drip tray at the front. Depending on the need for each customer it can be supplied in different versions:

  • Structure only, for the customer to fit it to the façade
  • Plate enclosure
  • Sandwich panel
  • Prefabricated concreate

Optionally, a dock house can be added to improve energy savings and the thermal insulation between the building and the loading bay. There are several types of dock houses suitable for isothermal tunnels:

Cold Storage Systems

Essential for industries where preventing loss of temperature is critical.

The process of loading and unloading goods at the loading bays is a very important point, especially for installations that require a high level of seal. Therefore, Inkema has designed a set of 2 different Cold Storage Systems which are fully adaptable to any installation that requires it.

Loading Bridges

More Lightweight & Practicable

Inkema loading bridges can be installed without the need for a pit, as they are designed to be placed at the end of a loading bay. They are used to speed up the loading and unloading of medium-sized and small goods.

Manual aluminum loading bridges

With capacity to overcome considerable height differences.

Inkema’s manual aluminium loading bridges are ideal for safely overcoming small and medium height differences. They are made out of a special aluminum alloy, which makes them very light in weight, very resistant to load and maintenance-free.

Iron Loading bridges

Inkema’s steel loading bridges are designed to be installed at the end of the loading bay in a fixed manner or can be moved laterally by a rail on two wheels, as it is the case with the PA1 steel loading bridge.

They manufacture two types of manual steel loading bridges: Inkema PA1/PA2 and the Minidock aswell as the Hydraulic Loading Bridge PAHI with a nominal load capacity of 6 tons.

In the two categories, their main advantage is that they do not need any type of pit for their installation.

Scissor Lift Tables

For Every Loading and Elevation Requirement.

The Inkema Scissor Lift Tables are comprised of a base on which the hydraulic equipment and articulated scissor mechanism rest. In turn, the top or working part of the table is articulated on those scissors. All are designed and manufactured in accordance with European Community directives and in accordance with the above standard.

Inkema divides its ranges of scissor lifts into three:

  • Double Scissor Lift Tables: Designed to achieve greated elevation and/or a larger load surface. It consists of a flat surface, two sets of scissors and hydraulic cylinders. There are 3 different types: vertical (MEX2), twin (MEX3) and tandem (MEX4)
  • Dual SR Scissor Lift Table: Set of machines in one. A hydraulic dock leveller with hinged lip (SR) or with telescopic lip (SRB) is installed on a lifting table.
Single Scissor Lift Tables

Ideal for overcoming any difference in height.

Single scissor lift table platform comprises a flat surface, a set of single scissors and the hydraulic cylinders.

Inkema single scissor lift tables can:

Double Scissor Lift Tables

For Every Loading and Elevation Requirement.

Double scissor lift tables are conceived for longer runs, these are formed by a flat surfacetwo sets of scissors and the hydraulic cylinders.

These double scissor lift tables are ideal for overcoming any height difference. In the industry they adapt to any application, increasing productivity and reducing labour risks.As with the single scissor lift tables, the double scissor tables have the following safety systems:

 

  • Emergency stop activated by cut off or loss of voltage.
  • Non-fall safety valve inside the hydraulic cylinders.
  • Electric safety system working as foot protection.
  • Safety signalling by means of stickers on moving parts.
  • Safety bar preventing the platform from closing during maintenance work.
  • All platforms comply with the European UNE-EN 1570 and EN1570-1 standards.

Dual SR Scissor Lift Tables

Two machines in one: The best combination.

The Dual SR dock leveller or lift table is a set of two machines in one, composed of a dock leveller installed on a lift table.

Inkema divides its range of Dual Scissor Lift into two:

  • Scissor Lift Table SR with a hydraulic dock leveller with hinged lip. 
  • Scissor Lift Table SRB with a hydraulic dock leveller with telescopic lip. 

This combination of systems allows for maximum flexibility in loading and unloading, It can be used simply as a lift table if required, or the lift table can be moved to the level of the loading bay, and the dock leveller can act as an inclined bridge between the loading bay and the lorry.

Sectional Doors

The quality of our doors makes us unique.

Inkema glazed sectional doors provides both a perfect view of the ouside and a functional enclosure, offering safety and strength.

Inkema sectional doors have the following options:

Roll-Up Industial Doors

Inkema offers a broad choice of colours and finishes on steel slat rolling doors, showing a customized product, making each model unique and exclusive for use in industry and business.

The Inkema range of rolling doors is always classified according to our customers’ needs (visibility, security, elegance, etc.) in the following models:

Aluminium rolling doors: They are an interesting solution for businesses, because they facilitate the integration of the closing into the shop decoration. There are three types of slats:

  • Die cutting slats: Simple or double, they allow the vision of the inside of the premises.
  • Micro perforated slats: Ideal for shop windows, as they allow a proper ventilation of the premises, they do not cover the vision of the inside keeping the safety of the opaque slat.
  • Safety slats: Total opacity, fire-lacquered, polyester-powdered or anodized.

Iron rolling doors: They are the most used closing system, due to its efficiency, strength and practicality.  There are 5 types of slats:

  • Décor model: Transparent, elegance of its lines.
  • Mesh model: With round or scallop shaped, depending on the joints, 8mm steel.

Dock Shelters

Flexibility and Savings Are No Longer Incompatible.

Inkema dock shelters are designed to ensure important energy savings, as they maintain the heat inside the building, provide better interior hygiene and thanks to their signalling system, facilitate the approach manoeuvers of the trucks, in all cases without affecting speed and flexibility in loading and unloading operations.

There are three ranges of Inkema shelters: Variation of the projection of the shelter, height of the top canvas and the possibility of adding steel truck stops to the loading bay.

Retractable Dock Shelter

Maximum protection, maximum energy savings.

Inkema’s Retractable Dock Shelter – ABRE with a sloping roof consists of a perimter structure with a set of canvases attached to it. These canvases adjust to fit the body of the lorry. This structure is retractable so that, in the event of a knock or impact caused by the driver, the shelter will return to its initial position.

Inflatable Dock Shelters

Optimal seal in loading and unloading processes.

Inkema Inflatable Dock Shelters are designed to always ensure an optimal seal during the loading and unloading process. The inflatable dock shelters are provided with an inflatable coupling system using an air turbine. They include a single phase low pressure fan and an elastic unit to bring the dock shelter back to its initial position.

Inkema make two types of inflatable dock shelters:

  • Standard Inflatable Shelter: Formed by 3 inflatable canvases that fold tidily inside the shelter: 3500mm (width) x 3700mm (height)
  • Cold Storage Point Inflatable Shelter: Suitable for Cold Storage Points: 3500mm (width) x 4000mm (height) 

Dock Seals

Inkema’s ABFR / ABFM Dock Seals are made from high recovery index foam covered with a PVC-coated polyester fabric canvas.

Thanks to the strong PVC covered polyester fabrics, Inkema’s ABFR / ABFM Dock Seal are prepared to withstand the continuous rubbing caused by the manoeuvres connecting the dock shelter to the truck.

Dock Seals are designed to always ensure the best insulation during vehicle loading and unloading manoeuvres, and to absorb possible impacts on the building.

Façade Flush Dock Shelter

When a dock shelter adapts to all of your needs.

The purpose of the Façade Flush Dock Shelter is to provideperfect insulation when loading and unloading. This achieves significant energy savings and also protects the goods.

This dock shelter is installed in the opening using the pre-frame, and the PVC curtains are mounted directly to the frame.

Fixed Dock Shelter

Fixed Dock Shelter have been specifically designed for those customers who need a still shelter for their facility, but that is also perfectly sealed.

When goods are transferred, the facility is insulated from the outside, saving energy and, ultimately, making the work area more comfortable.

All Fixed Dock Shelter are equipped with vertical reflective bands that make it easier for drivers to manoeuvre, and avoid collisions that could damage the facility and the vehicle.

High-Speed Doors

Inkema has a varied range of High-speed Doors which are designed as dividing elements for areas with continuous and heavy traffic, in all cases ensuring the correct insulation. 

Rolling High-Speed Door - PR10

The Rolling High-Speed Door – PR10 comprises a PVC canvas with inner reinforcements fixed to a metal frame incorporating a geared motor activated by a control panel.

This door conceived especially for indoor applications of intensive use, helps fluid traffic thanks to its high-speed opening and closing, therefore achieving energy savings and higher output.

Self Repairable High-Speed Interior Door - PR11

Inkema’s Self-repairable High-speed Door PR11 has been designed for use in warehouses, logistics centres, premises and any kind of productive plants where there is an intense flow of goods, always assuring great tightness.

The door comprises a high-strength PVC canvas fixed to a galvanised steel frame with a geared motor activated by control panel with frequency inverter.

Main feature to bear in mind in the PR11:

  • Excellent tightness: Perfect blockage of wind currents thanks to the guide-zip adjustment.
  • Self-repair guaranteed: If the canvas is accidentally hit, the door automatically repairs itself.
  • Maximum safety above all: It includes two safety systems: a curtain of photocells and an unrolling photocell.
  • Wind resistance: Certificate of passing all class 3 tests (resistance up to 122 km/h).
Aluminium High-Speed Rolling Door - PR12

The main feature of Inkema’s PR12 High-Speed Rolling Door is its structure made of extruded anodised aluminium , which makes it much lighter and cleaner than conventional high-speed doors.

It is suitable for installation in areas of high traffic, as they need doors that open and close quickly. It has been designed for use in warehouses and/or facilities in any industrial sector: logistics, agrifood, pharmaceuticals, automotive,…

Main features to bear in mind in the PR12:

  • Guaranteed noise reduction: The new seals formed by extra soft brushes guarantee less noise.
  • Great rustproof capacity: Thanks to its anodised aluminium structure, low rust levels are guaranteed.
  • Fast to install and easy to repair: The door comes pre-installed. Low maintenance.
  • Safety levels exceeded: It includes two safety systems: an electric band at the bottom of the door and safety photocells.

OPERATION

 

Self Repairable High-Speed Door - PR13

Inkema’s Self-Repairable High-Speed Door-PR13 has been designed for its use in warehouses, logistic centres, stores and any kind of productive plant with an intense traffic of goods, ensuring at all times a high level of airtightness.

The door is composed by a high resistance polyester fibre canvas coated with PVC, attached to a galvanized steel frame. It incorporates a motor with reducer driven by a control panel and a frequency converter that guarantees a smooth operation extending the useful life of the door.

The best performance always in style.

The main feature is its exclusive self-repair function, which in the event of an accidental hit, enables the canvas to get out of its guides without damaging any component.

Folding High-Speed Door - PR15

The Folding High-speed Door -PR15 is fitted with a curtain of safety photocells for closing, and a safety photocell for opening as standard.

Main feature to bear in mind in the PR15:

    • Large Dimensions Doors: Suitable for outdoor installations, often requiring large dimensions doors with high mechanic resistance.
    • Maximum safety above all: It allows fot two safety systems: a photocell curtain (optional) and a safety photocell (standard).
    • Fast installation and easy repairs: The door is delivered pre-installed. Low maintenance.
    • Multifunctional door: Suitable for premises in any industrial sector: food & beverages, logistic, automobile, pharma, etc…

Fire Doors

Inkema Fire Doors are a combination of different concepts such as safety and simplicity, functionality and robustness.

Fire door installation is more and more commonplace, as current building regulations require high level fire protection in industrial buildings to prevent it from spreading inside them.

Each fire door is in accordance with each customer’s specific needs. They also have the added possibility of using a wide range of accessories complement the needs of the new installation or the planned reformation, which can be coordinated with the fire detection systems. 

Sliding Fire Doors

PC02 Sliding Fire Door can be single, double or multi-leaf, which can be located on one or both sides of the opening, depending on the system used: telescopic or counterpoised.

The Sliding Fire Doors are hung from an upper guide for straight movement on carriages with protected rollers, guided at the bottom by a system of bearings hidden on the opposite side to the enclosure.

The door leaf has a U-shaped metal profile, around the perimeter that acts as the closing of the leaf, it is guided by the lower part by means of an accompanying roller. Counterweight joined by steel cables to the leaf.

All doors have a counterweight system to close them in case of fire. The operation of the sliding fire door can be eithermanual or automatic.

Vertical Fire Door

Optimal seal in loading and unloading processes.

Inkema Inflatable Dock Shelters are designed to always ensure an optimal seal during the loading and unloading process. The inflatable dock shelters are provided with an inflatable coupling system using an air turbine. They include a single phase low pressure fan and an elastic unit to bring the dock shelter back to its initial position.

  • Standard Inflatable Shelter: Formed by 3 inflatable canvases that fold tidily inside the shelter: 3500mm (width) x 3700mm (height)

Pedestrian Fire Door

In accordance with construction safety regulations, fire doors are indispensable in all buildings, dwellings, large surfaces, factories, hospitals, etc., as well as any other place where fire safety levels are required, ensuring the protection of people, objects and spaces.
They are made up of one or more leaves and each leaf has a U-shaped metal profile around the perimeter that acts closing as leaf.

Inkema offers choice of sliding and vertical fire doors with built-in Pedestrian Fire Door, a mandatory option when the door is located on an evacuation route.

The perfect combination for your fire door.

The standard finish of the pedestrian door is the CLASSIC finish: Pre-lacquered sheet in RAL 7035 with protection film and frame lacquered in plain epoxy-polyester RAL 7035. Depending on the dimensions of the door, the following can be ordered optionally,

  • Embossed GAMACOLOR RAL finish: Frame and sheet lacquered with powder paint with textured embossed finish.
  • GAMACOLOR PVC finish: Sheet with PVC coating of various finishes and colours. The frame is lacquered in epoxy-polyester in the RAL most similar to the leaf. Also wood or metal imitation.
Swing Fire Door

Most manufacturers of standard Swing Fire Doors go up to a maximum manufacturing height and width, when a larger and more robust hinged door is needed, Inkema can offer this with the same features as sliding and hinged fire doors.

Swing Fire Doors are designed to close and sector off large openings.

This type of fire door supports fire resistance for 60 and 120 minutes depending on the characteristics and total thickness of the door leaf.

Window Fire Door

Inkema’s  RFVE Window Fire Door has a single hinged leaf and is designed for the closing and segmentation of different rooms with a very small space, such as a window.
This type of fire door supports fire resistance for 60 and 240 minutes depending on the characteristics and total thickness of the door leaf.
Depending on the customer’s need, it can be designed and manufactured for a sliding or vertical type position (guillotine mode).

WINDOW FIRE DOOR – SLIDING TYPE

LEAF
The Window Fire Door can be made of 1 leaf, of 2 opposite leaves, or 2 or more telescopic leaves.

GUIDE
Superior suspension guide of high quality and durability made of galvanised material. The guide can be manufactured in three different sizes depending on the weight and size of the door and installed on-site according to the characteristics of the space. Roller mounted on ball bearings.

OPERATION
Its operation can be either manual or automatic. When the alarm signal emits an impulse to the electromagnet or the thermal fuse reaches a temperature of 68 ºC, the door is released and driven by the counterweight until it is completely closed; with the action of fire, the intumescent  gasket installed in the smoke cut labyrinth of the entire perimeter of the door expands, leaving the door sealed.

 

WINDOW FIRE DOOR – SLIDING TYPE

LEAF 
Each leaf is constructed with two pre-lacquered steel sheets.
(0.6/0.8 mm thick) forming 1150 mm wide tongue and groove panels, filled with 145 kg./m3 high density rock wool, closed at its edges with a special 3 mm thick U-shaped profile. Embedded grip with handle. Counterweight joined by steel cables to the parachute and electro magnet to emit manual opening and closing or thermal fuse.

GUIDE
The lateral sliding guides are of high quality and durability made of galvanised steel, installed according to the characteristics of the space, ball bearing in the guide, safety parachute.

OPERATION
Its operation can be either manual or automatic. Closure guaranteed by a counterweight that acts on the leaf. When the alarm signal emits an impulse to the electromagnet (24 VDC) or the thermal fuse reaches a temperature of 68 ºC, the door is released and driven by the counterweight, keeping it completely closed; and with the action of the fire, the intumescent  gasket installed in the smoke cut labyrinth of the entire perimeter of the door expands, leaving the door sealed.

Fire Curtain

Inkema’s Fire Curtain is the most innovative fire and smoke protection system currently available on the market.

It allows full integration in any environment thanks to the little space required for its installation. This also has a positive effect on the aesthetics of the curtain, which remains hidden until the fire alarm sounds.

The RFCOR fire curtain limits the spread of fire by complying with the strictest national (CTE and RSCIEI) and international (EN) standards.

Rolling Fire Door

Inkema’s Rolling Fire Door – RFENR is especially recommended for situations in which a fire-retardant resistance of 120 minutes is required – according to EI(1) classification. It should only be used in the event of fire alarm, not suitable for daily use.

Its central structure is made of 60mm galvanised steel. The slats are made of thick profiles of 0.80mm galvanised sheet steel filled with special fire-resistant insulating material.
The bottom of the structure is made of L-shaped galvanised steel connected with rivets.
The steel slats are equipped with a unique system that allows them to be fitted and removed at an angle of 90 degrees.

Sectional Fire Door

Sectional Fire Door is very useful to apply in areas where hazardous materials are stored. It is primarily designed to separate adjoining rooms in the event of fire or smoke, to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby rooms.

This door delivers a high degree of fire resistance: 60 minutes (according to the EI(1) requirement) and 90 (according to EW), which makes it suitable in most fire situations.

The Sectional Fire Door can be part of a fire alarm system, but can also be used for independent protection.

The RFSEC Sectional Fire Door comprises the following elements for its correct operation in automatic mode:
